Hey Tom,
Well...I just a/bd the Spheres with the Summits and the Studers and they are my favorite, pure magic with the U67. The upper mids just soar and the highs are so sweet and understated. The bottom end is clear, full and deep. They have a classic sound and are so inspiring to use. Thank you, thank you!!! They are going to be perfect for my project. They also seem to have loads of gain. I'm curious about the db level they go to since I'll be using a ribbon mic with them too. Hope you are well and thanks again for your excellent work. ---Best, Christopher
Hello Tom
Just wanted to drop a line saying how much I love and appreciate your
work. I own 4 pieces of gear that you've racked, countless others that you've
fixed and improved and use them quite often. They have become staples in my
studio. Your work, turnaround time and ethic are unparalleled. I've used
your gear to record tracks for such acts as Rod Stewart, Zac Brown, Ani
Difranco, Better Than Ezra and Dr John just to name a few. I actually even
used the PM1000's that you racked to record all the vocal tracks for the
Grammy Nominated Steve Riley and The Mamou Playboys record last year. Please
keep up the great work and wonderful customer service. Please feel free to use
my name in your list of professional users. I'd be honored to have my name
associated with your products and fine work. ----Jack Miele

Hey Tom,
I bought a pair of the pm1000's from you back in the spring, and I just wanted
to drop you a note on how awesome they are! I also use Universal Audio,
Focusrite, and other standard high end kinda stuff, and these Yamaha pres
easily stand up, even surpass in some cases what the other pres can do. I
don't know what you do to those eqs but after a little practice I can pull out
all kinds of classic tones. The stepped input gain allows me to really hit a
sweet spot on whatever source I am recording, and I can dial in just the right
amount of output into my daw. Fantastic work taking these things to a new
level. The box looks pretty sexy in my rack as well. My music thanks you and
your work! - Nick Afflitto
…the 672 came today. I don't have a recording session until Tuesday so I ran an old mix through it for fun to measure its sound . Incredible color and vibe. My main pre for a while has been an RCA BA-12a and this will be the perfect compliment. Your workmanship is a joy to experience. I've seen so much poorly-made gear: cheap switches that feel like they'll break (and do), odd layout, screws poking out at you, and bad minor details that add up huge problems in overall perception. Thanks for caring about your craft. I really feel like I bought something from you that I'll never sell. I cannot wait for Tuesday.
Thanks again,
Chris Gill

"The pres arrived today (that was quick for parcel post i think!). They sound lovely! I was intending them to be instrument pres, but i did some quick vocal tests against my altec clones and i really prefer the ward becks. Beautiful all around! Thank you!"
"Holy Moses Dr. Tom. I just went to your site for the first time and I LOVE your work!"
"By the way I wanted to tell you we recorded
some acoustic guitar parts yesterday with both channels of pm1000 - one channel
live mic, the other line out from the acoustic-electric. My music partner kept
saying "the tone is so THICK" and he was right - they sounded amazing. Those
things are gems."
"Just saw your products for the very first
time while browsing a bit on the net. I just purchased my first 500 series
gear... a pair of Shadow Hills MonoGama preamps that I bought off of a friend in
Nashville. Well, now I suppose it's time to add EQ & Compression so that I have
a perfectly portable, highly portable 2 channel strip setup. I'm very interested
in an 8 space lunchbox style wooden rack...I absolutely adore woodwork & your
work is amazing."
